These high-accuracy models are constructed of acrylic plastic.  Detailed building parts are digitized and cut with a computer-controlled laser.  Additional smaller parts are also digitized and fabricated from acid etched metal.  Buildings can be lighted internally and externally by utilizing fiber optics, miniature bulbs, and/or LEDs.
